Terms of Service
Terms for using LinkToVideo to record publicly accessible webpages.
Last updated: 2026-07-21
Agreement
By using LinkToVideo, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not submit a webpage or use a generated recording.
The Service
LinkToVideo accepts a publicly accessible HTTP or HTTPS webpage, opens it in an isolated browser, creates a controlled scrolling capture and encodes an MP4 video. Compatibility is not guaranteed for every page. Login walls, passwords, CAPTCHAs, private networks, unsupported ports, anti-automation controls and unusually complex or long pages may prevent recording.
Your Rights and Responsibilities
You may submit a webpage only if you own the content or have permission to record and reuse it. You are responsible for the submitted URL, the generated recording and every way you publish or distribute it.
You must not use LinkToVideo to:
- infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights;
- record private, confidential, access-controlled or unlawfully obtained content;
- bypass authentication, paywalls, technical protections or website restrictions;
- probe internal networks, metadata services or non-public systems;
- distribute malware, deceptive content or unlawful material;
- overload, reverse engineer or interfere with the service or renderer.
Account Limits
Signed-in users receive three recordings per month by default, with a maximum duration of 60 seconds and retention of up to 7 days. These limits may change to protect service reliability. Failed system jobs release the consumed quota.
Generated Recordings
Generated files remain subject to rights in the source webpage. LinkToVideo does not grant you ownership of third-party content. You should review every recording before use. A signed download link is temporary, and expired or deleted files may not be recoverable.
Availability and Changes
We may modify, limit, suspend or discontinue features to maintain security, reliability or legal compliance. We may cancel jobs that create security risk or violate these Terms. The service is provided on an “as available” basis without a guarantee that every submitted page will record successfully.
Disclaimer and Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LinkToVideo is provided without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, lost data, lost profits or claims arising from content you submit or publish.
Copyright Complaints
If you believe a recording or use of the service infringes your rights, follow our Copyright & Takedown process.
Termination
We may restrict or terminate access for abuse, security threats, repeated infringement or material violations. You may stop using the service and delete available recordings at any time.
