Copyright & Takedown

How to report suspected copyright or rights infringement involving LinkToVideo.

Last updated: 2026-07-20

Respect for Rights

LinkToVideo requires users to confirm that they own a webpage or have permission to record and reuse it. The service does not provide a public gallery, and generated files expire automatically, but we will review credible infringement notices.

Submit a Notice

Email support@linktovideo.org with the subject Copyright Takedown Request and include:

  1. Your name, organization and contact information.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work or other right you believe is affected.
  3. The webpage URL and, if available, the LinkToVideo recording ID or signed link.
  4. A clear explanation of the allegedly infringing activity.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the disputed use is not authorized.
  6. A statement that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act for the rights holder.
  7. Your physical or electronic signature.

Our Response

We may request additional information, restrict access, delete a stored recording, preserve limited evidence required by law, or notify the user who created the recording. Because signed links expire and objects are automatically deleted, a file may already be unavailable when a notice arrives.

Misrepresentation

Submitting a knowingly false notice may expose you to liability. This process is for genuine rights concerns, not general product support.

Counter Notice

If your recording was removed and you believe that occurred by mistake, email the same address with the subject Counter Notice, identify the removed material and explain your authorization or other legal basis.
