Privacy Policy

How LinkToVideo handles account, recording and webpage processing data.

Last updated: 2026-07-21

Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how LinkToVideo handles information when you submit a public webpage for recording, create an account, contact support or use a generated video. LinkToVideo is designed to create scrolling videos of publicly accessible webpages; it is not a video downloader.

Information We Process

We may process:

  • Recording input and settings — the webpage URL, selected viewport, scroll speed, page preparation settings and rights confirmation.
  • Recording job data — processing status, timestamps, error codes, page title, final URL after redirects, video dimensions, duration and file size.
  • Account information — name, email address, profile image and authentication records when you choose to sign in.
  • Technical and security data — IP address, browser information, Turnstile verification results and abuse-prevention logs.
  • Support communications — messages and files you voluntarily send to us.

Webpage Processing

To make a recording, our isolated renderer requests the public URL you submit, loads visible webpage resources and captures the controlled scroll. We apply network checks intended to block localhost, private networks, cloud metadata services, reserved IP addresses, unsafe ports and redirects to blocked destinations.

Do not submit pages containing private, confidential or personal information. Pages requiring a login, password or CAPTCHA are not supported.

Generated Files and Retention

Generated videos and thumbnails are stored in a private Cloudflare R2 bucket. They are not published in a public media library. Download links are signed and expire after approximately 10 minutes.

Recordings created by signed-in users are retained for up to 7 days by default. You can request immediate deletion from the recording details page. Limited job metadata and security logs may be retained longer where necessary to prevent abuse, investigate failures or meet legal obligations.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide and secure the recording service, enforce usage limits, recover job progress after a refresh, troubleshoot failures, respond to support requests and improve reliability. We do not sell personal information.

Service Providers

We use infrastructure and service providers, including Cloudflare, to operate the application, database, queue, isolated renderer, private object storage and human-verification controls. These providers process data on our behalf under their applicable terms and privacy commitments.

Analytics, Advertising and Cookies

We may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage and Google AdSense to display advertising on eligible public content pages. When these services are enabled, Google and its partners may place or read cookies, use web beacons, collect IP addresses or process other device and browser identifiers to measure usage, prevent fraud, limit ad frequency and select or measure ads. We do not place AdSense ads in the dashboard, account, sign-in or recording workspace.

Where required by law, advertising and non-essential analytics are enabled only after the applicable consent choice. Visitors may be offered controls for personalized or non-personalized advertising. Google may use data from sites or apps that use its services as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can also review Google's Advertising Policies and Principles.

Essential cookies are used for authentication, security, abuse prevention and interface preferences. Blocking essential cookies may prevent account or dashboard features from working. Browser settings and any consent controls shown on the site can be used to manage non-essential cookies.

Your Choices and Rights

You may delete individual recordings, request access to or deletion of account information, and ask privacy questions by emailing support@linktovideo.org. Legal rights vary by location; we will respond in accordance with applicable law.

Security

We use transport encryption, access controls, private storage, short-lived download links, signed renderer callbacks and network filtering. No online service is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

LinkToVideo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service changes. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version.
