What Is a Video Link to Download?
A video link to download is a web address that lets an approved recipient retrieve a video file without receiving a large email attachment. The owner uploads the original file, chooses how long the link remains active and can optionally restrict the total number of successful downloads.
LinkToVideo stores the upload in private object storage. The public address does not expose a permanent storage URL. Each download request checks the link status, expiry and remaining allowance before issuing short-lived access to the original MP4, WebM or MOV file.
This workflow is designed for client exports, approved campaign assets, training files and other videos the uploader owns or has permission to distribute. It does not extract videos from YouTube, Pinterest, Vimeo, LinkedIn or other third-party platforms.

Can I create a video download link for free?
Free accounts can test limited browser playback links. Direct original-file downloads are enabled on paid plans because they use ongoing private storage and delivery resources.
Does the recipient need a LinkToVideo account?
No. A recipient can open a valid unlisted page and download the file without signing in, provided the owner has enabled downloads and the link has not expired or reached its limit.
What happens when the maximum download count is reached?
The download endpoint stops issuing temporary file access. The owner can review the counter in the dashboard and decide whether to increase the limit or create a new delivery link.
Does LinkToVideo compress or re-encode the upload?
The download workflow stores and delivers the uploaded file. It does not launch a new AI generation or recording task, and it does not intentionally re-encode the original video.
Can I use a YouTube or Pinterest link as the input?
No. Upload a video file that you own or have permission to distribute. LinkToVideo does not retrieve videos from third-party social or streaming platforms.
